Acute aortic dissection

We have performed over two hundreds dissection operations in a year.

 

The surgical result of type A acute dissection in consecutive 633 Patients in our hospital is reviewed.

The patients were 303 men and 330 women. 260 cases ruptured, 95 cases had renal dysfunction, 17 had leg ischemia, 5 had intestinal ischemia and 65 had cerebral damage before operation. The operative procedure included ascending or hemiarch replacement (548 cases), total arch replacement (32 cases) and root replacement (27 cases). Associated procedures involved valve treatment (66 cases), CABG (23 cases), CABG and valve treatment (6 cases), leg bypass (19 cases), intestinal treatment (5 cases).

 We treat type B dissection as well. We have almost 100 cases of type B dissection treated. Most of the cases were treated medically except for the cases with rupture or ischemia most of which undergo strentgraft procedure through skin puncture.

Under our policy of never refusal the number of dissection cases increase as well as expertise and skill.
